Einat Reich

Chair of the Board of Directors

Einat Reich brings valuable leadership to the Civil Commission through her role as Chair of the Board. Under her guidance, the Commission has strengthened its capacity to amplify the voices of victims and advance international awareness and advocacy, as well as to document and research war crimes and gender-based violence in the aftermath of October 7.

Born in 1964 in San Francisco, USA, Reich holds a BFA in photography, video, and film from Camera Obscura (1982–1987), where she later taught photography until 1992. Her works have been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions, and she has received scholarships and awards, with pieces included in significant collections.

Since 2000, Reich has invested in high-tech companies and commercial projects in Israel and abroad. She has also dedicated herself to philanthropy and public service. In 2003, she joined the Board of Trustees of Tel Aviv University. From 2007, she has been active in the Hadassah Youth Village, where she led projects such as establishing a surfing center, robotics team, and Friends Association.

Between 2012 and 2017, Reich was among the founders of the Public Forum for Youth Villages and Boarding Schools in Israel, serving as Chair of the Partnerships and Professional Capabilities Committee. In 2018, she represented philanthropy on the national committee of the YATID program for young people at risk (ages 18–25). Since 2019, she has served as Chair of the Executive Committee of Ne’urim.

At the beginning of 2025, Reich was appointed to the Board of Trustees of the Jewish Agency for Israel.
Reich is married to Yossi Reich, originally from Germany, and together they are parents of three daughters: Amalia, Elinor, and Naomi.
